Equilibrium Mining is proud to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive field data collection program supporting the ongoing evaluation of the Mt Rawdon Pumped Hydro project at Evolution Mining’s Mt Rawdon Operations. Over the past six months, our dedicated team of 12 specialists has been on site, delivering critical technical work that will help shape one of Queensland’s most forward-thinking energy initiatives.

The program involved geotechnical core logging on more than 5,000 metres of drill core, hydrogeological testing to understand groundwater behaviour, and the installation of downhole instrumentation for long-term monitoring. These efforts have generated a robust dataset that is now being analysed to refine the geotechnical and hydrogeological characterisation for the design of the lower reservoir; a key component of the proposed pumped hydro system.

Collaboration at Its Best

This milestone was made possible through strong partnerships with ICA Partners, Evolution Mining, and CleanCo Queensland. Together, we are helping to transform a former mining operation into a renewable energy asset that will benefit generations to come.

Achieving Equilibrium

The Mt Rawdon Pumped Hydro project represents a significant step toward creating a sustainable energy future while leaving a positive legacy for surrounding communities. For Equilibrium Mining, contributing to this initiative is more than a technical achievement but an opportunity to apply our expertise in geotechnical engineering and hydrogeology to a project that aligns with our values of innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.
