Equilibrium Mining had the privilege of attending the Water in Mining Global Summit 2025 at the Montreal Convention Centre, a gathering that brought together industry leaders, innovators, and sustainability advocates to address one of mining’s most critical challenges: water management.

The conversations at this summit reinforced what we’ve always believed: responsible water stewardship is not just an environmental obligation; but a cornerstone of operational excellence and community trust. As mining evolves to meet the demands of the global energy transition, water remains central to everything we do, from mine design to closure planning.

For Equilibrium Mining, this event was an opportunity to showcase our expanded hydrogeological capabilities and demonstrate how our fully integrated hydrogeological and geotechnical services help optimise mine design and operations. These solutions are designed to anticipate water-related challenges, improve resilience, and support sustainable outcomes.

Our team, Karyn Gallant (Principal Engineer and Global Operations Lead), Jeff Randall (Senior Geological Engineer), and Hayley Wallace (Hydrogeologist), engaged in meaningful discussions with peers and partners about groundwater modelling, risk mitigation, and innovative approaches to water management. The insights gained will continue to shape how we deliver value to clients and communities.

Events like the Water in Mining Global Summit matter because they foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the industry. For Equilibrium Mining, they reaffirm our commitment to advancing technical excellence while building a positive legacy for future generations.
